This online Quickstart Guide was designed to help you install and run RoutePlotter for the first time. Advanced topics are covered in the RoutePlotter Reference Manual.

Installing RoutePlotter

First, make sure that you meet the minimum requirements for your platform, including the proper Java VM. Then install RoutePlotter:

Run the 'routeplotter.exe' install program, by opening the file or double-clicking the filename, then follow the instructions.

Windows: Go to Start / Programs / RoutePlotter and click on RoutePlotter.

Running RoutePlotter for the First Time

Once RoutePlotter has been installed and you have started RoutePlotter from the Start menu you will see a "Trial Period" dialog box. This dialog box gives you three options:

• The option to Buy Now; if you have downloaded the product and wish to buy it then you can click the 'Buy Now' button and it will take you to the purchase page.
• The option to Apply License; if you have already purchased the product and have been sent a key then you can click the 'Apply License' button to bring up the license key dialog box (fig1)
• If you wish to continue using the product as a trial version for 15 days then just click the 'OK' button and RoutePlotter will start

When entering your key we recommend that you copy and paste the key from the email we send you to avoid typing errors. As there are no menu options to copy and paste you will have to use the keyboard shortcuts (ctrl-c to copy and ctrl-v to paste)
